Drug Dealer Busted In Berkeley

BERKELEY – Citizen complaints and increased police surveillance led to the arrest of a man dealing drugs in the Manitou Park section of town.

Levine Leonard, 28, of South Toms River, was observed by police selling drugs near the public park on 3rd Avenue and the public baseball fields near 5th Avenue, both areas frequented by children and youth sports events.

Leonard was charged with possession of heroin, possession of heroin with the intent to distribute and distributing heroin within 500 feet of a public park.

He was processed at Berkeley Township Police Headquarters and taken to Ocean County Jail. His white Lexus was impounded, and forfeiture proceedings are pending.
