BERKELEY – Two hundred Berkeley Township residents will be eligible for a home security system promotion starting at the end of January.

The township has entered into an agreement with Ring, where a $20,000 program will enable 200 verified township residents a $100 promotional code toward “select” Ring home security devices.

The partnership was approved by the township council back in December.

“I am pleased that we will be able to bring this program to our residents that will enable them to enhance their home security. The subsidy program will be funded by forfeiture funds that were obtained by our police department, not tax dollars.” Mayor Carmen Amato said.

Residents will have to show up at Town Hall, 627 Pinewald-Keswick Road, between noon and 2 p.m. Jan. 26 to register. They will be able to purchase their devices on site on a first-come, first served basis.
