BERKELEY – The iconic Bayville dinosaur has been moved temporarily while it is being restored, volunteers with the historical society said.

Artist Shannon MacDonald, who grew up here, was contracted to restore it. But since it’s right on Route 9, it might not be safe to work so close to the roadway.

L&E Welding, Bayville, brought the boom truck to bring the dinosaur to captivity where it can be worked on safely, ready for its big unveiling in the future, according to the Restore The Bayville Dinosaur Facebook page.
