TOMS RIVER — Northern Ocean Habitat for Humanity is accepting applications from homeowners who need critical repairs, accessibility upgrades or modifications that can help them remain safely in their homes.
The organization’s Critical Home Repair Program assists qualifying individuals and families with necessary improvements, including wheelchair ramps, other Americans with Disabilities Act-related upgrades and aging-in-place modifications.
Applicants must own and occupy a home in northern Ocean County. The property must have served as the owner’s primary residence for at least two years, be insured and have current mortgage payments. Homeowners must also meet the program’s income requirements.
Communities served include Bay Head, Beachwood, Berkeley, Brick, Island Heights, Jackson, Lakehurst, Lakewood, Lavallette, Manchester, Mantoloking, Ocean Gate, Pine Beach, Plumsted, Point Pleasant, Point Pleasant Beach, Seaside Heights, Seaside Park, South Toms River and Toms River.
