BRICK – Police are warning drivers to obey new yellow bollards installed on Beaverson Boulevard to stop left turns from Lions Head Office Park.
The Ocean County Road Department installed the barriers as part of an effort to reduce crashes and improve traffic safety. Officials said some motorists have continued to drive around them and make prohibited turns, creating a hazard.
The Brick Police Department said the area will be actively monitored. Drivers who violate the restriction may receive summonses for improper turning under New Jersey law.
The violation carries two motor vehicle points, along with applicable fines. Police urged motorists to follow all posted traffic controls and help keep local roads safe.
