JOINT BASE MCGUIRE-DIX-LAKEHURST— Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst will conduct a readiness exercise from June 28 to July 3 across the installation, base officials announced.
During the training, residents and visitors may notice increased activity, including emergency vehicles, loud noises, and uniformed personnel responding to simulated scenarios. Officials emphasized that the exercise is not in response to any real-world threat.
“These exercises are essential to ensure we remain ready, resilient, and lethal,” base leadership stated in a release. “This is only an exercise.”
The base thanked the public for its cooperation during the drill, which is part of ongoing efforts to maintain operational readiness and ensure the safety of the community.
