TOMS RIVER – A Barnegat woman was charged with DUI after a motor vehicle accident took down a pole on Coolidge Ave. in Toms River last week, according to police.
On Oct. 31, police responded to the intersection of Coolidge Ave. and Red Cedar St. for reports of a motor vehicle accident with a pole down. Jillian Messina of Toms River Police Department told Jersey Shore Online that 28-year old Eileen Loftus of Barnegat crashed into the pole, a sign, and a tree.
Police administered Narcan and she was transported to Community Medical Center for treatment. Loftus was charged with DUI.
