TOMS RIVER – A truck driven by a local man clipped a traffic light and fire hydrant Tuesday.
At 10:40 a.m. Oct. 23, Michael Peluso, 48, of Manchester, was driving a tractor trailer on Cox Cro Road. He attempted to turn right onto Route 527 north.
His truck clipped the traffic signal and pole, which broke its arm free from the base and carried it atop the trailer. The truck also hit a fire hydrant when pulling off the road.
His vehicle sustained no damage, although the trailer was slightly damaged.
There were no injuries reported.
