TOMS RIVER – With Breast Cancer Awareness Month coming up, blood donors are needed now more than ever to help patients with cancer.
New Jersey Blood Services (NJBS) is working hard to restore the blood supply to an adequate level, but can only do it with the help of volunteer blood donors. They partnered with the Toms River VFW Post 6063 to host an upcoming blood drive on October 1 from 1 to 7 p.m. at the FOP Lodge 10 located at 1791 North Bay Ave. in Toms River.

As a reminder, make sure to eat, drink and bring your donor ID card or ID with name and photo. Donors 76 and over need a doctor’s note unless one is already on file. 16-year-olds need signed NYBC parental consent form.
