SOUTHAMPTON – A Toms River motorcyclist was identified by police as the victim of a fatal crash on the morning of April 9.
Frank Lando, Jr., 65, was driving in the area of Route 70 and Burrs Mill Road when his motorcycle and a New Jersey State Police cruiser collided. He was pronounced dead about an hour later at a local hospital.
Trooper Anthony Fernandes, who was conducting patrol duties at the time of the crash, was not hurt.
This incident is still under investigation by the State Attorney General’s Office.
