Toms River: No Garbage Or Recycling On Thanksgiving

  TOMS RIVER – The Toms River Department of Public Works is reminding residents that they will be closed on Thanksgiving, November 26, and that no pick-ups of garbage or recycling will be done that day.

  The Recycling Convenience Center will also be closed on the national holiday. It will reopen on Friday, November 27 and Saturday, November 28, from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

   All regular sanitation and recycling collections after Wednesday are postponed one day, with Friday’s sanitation collections being picked up on Saturday.

  The bulk pick-ups scheduled for Wednesday, November 25, Thursday, November 26, and Friday, November 27 areas will all be picked up on Wednesday, November 25. 

  Extra Recycling will take place on Wednesday, November 25. 

  The Public Works office will also be closed on Thursday, November 26, and Friday, November 27 in observance of the holiday.
