Toms River Man Jumps Into Raritan River, Body Recovered

  TOMS RIVER – The New Jersey State Police recovered the body of a 24-year-old Toms River man from the Raritan River.

  On August 22, police responded to a report of a man who apparently jumped from the Driscoll Bridge, located on the Garden State Parkway between Woodbridge and Sayreville.

  Perth Amboy Police and Fire Department Marine Units recovered the man’s body from the Raritan River. He was brought to the Cornucopia Princess dinner cruise docks, Sgt. Alejandro Goez said. The Laurence Harbor Fire Department also assisted at the scene.

  Police pronounced the man dead at 12:38 p.m.
