TOMS RIVER – Each year, the Hooper Avenue Elementary School in Toms River partners with SUEZ during the annual Drinking Water Week (May 2 through 8) to learn more about the importance of our precious natural resource, how it is treated and delivered to taps by SUEZ and the value of conservation.

Following SUEZ’ educational outreach (this year it was virtual), about 90 of Hooper’s 4th graders participated in a poster art contest after which five winners were chosen based on their understanding of the importance of water. The theme for 2021 was “There When You Need It.”

Mr. Doug Hynoski, Hooper 4th grade educator, Principal Jason Hughes and Supervisor Christine Manna, help choose the winners.
