Police: Swatting Incident At Toms River School Unfounded

  TOMS RIVER — Toms River North High School has been given the all-clear after a swatting incident prompted a shelter-in-place earlier today.

  Toms River Police posted to social media, informing residents about the incident: “We are currently investigating a possible swatting incident. High School North is in a shelter in place out of precaution. Parents please do not respond to the school. We will update as needed.”

  A short time later police informed that the threat was unfounded, although did not provide any further details on the caller or the nature of the threat.

  As of 12:30 p.m., the shelter-in-place has been lifted.
