Police Seek Help Identifying Robbers Who Assaulted Store Clerk

  TOMS RIVER – Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying two suspects involved in a robbery yesterday.

  Officers from the Toms River Police Department responded to a convenience store on Lakewood Road and the corner of Cox Cro Road around 9 p.m. about a robbery in progress.

  According to police, two suspects entered the store and walked behind the counter, striking the clerk in the face several times before forcing him to open the register. The suspects then took money from the drawer and fled the scene on foot.

  Pleasant Plains EMS evaluated the victim and brought him to Kimball Medical Center for further treatment.

  Both of the suspects are described as thin white males, approximately 5’10” to 6’ tall. Anyone with information, or who can identify the suspects pictured, is asked to contact Detective Ryan Quinn of the Toms River Police Department at 732-349-0150 ext. 1361.
