Police Nab Shoplifting Suspects Who Fled After Parkway Crash

TOMS RIVER – Police have apprehended two persons in connection with a shoplifting at a local business.

Toms River Police were dispatched to The Home Depot at 1:30 p.m. Monday for an unruly shoplifter. That suspect fled onto the Garden State Parkway South just as police arrived.

The suspect crashed shortly thereafter and fled on foot across the Parkway.

Police have arrested the suspect and accomplice. They are not releasing names yet due to the ongoing investigation. They are working closely with The Home Depot, New York City Police and New York State Police.
