OCEAN COUNTY – Sheriff Michael Mastronardy recently  added his congratulations following the retirement of Sgt. Thomas Haskell, whose career was spent with the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office.

Mastronardy’s remarks came after Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer publicly acknowledged Haskell’s long-standing contributions to the Prosecutor’s Office. Billhimer was pictured with colleagues during the recognition, while Mastronardy was not in attendance but asked that his congratulations be shared.

During his tenure with the Prosecutor’s Office, Haskell spent many years assigned to arson investigations, working closely with the Ocean County Sheriff’s Office CSI Unit. Officials said his expertise and meticulous approach played a critical role in resolving numerous suspicious fire cases across the county, often leading to successful criminal charges.

County officials credited Haskell with leaving a lasting mark on public safety and fire investigations in Ocean County, thanking him for his dedication, professionalism, and years of service as he enters retirement.
