TOMS RIVER – Officials have confirmed no injuries resulted from a fire that broke out in a mobile home Thursday.

Around 11:45 a.m., local fire agencies were called to 32 Roberts Road, Roberts Mobile Home Park for a structure fire.

The Pleasant Plains Vol. Fire Department along with the Silverton Volunteer Fire Company, East Dover Fire Company and Whitesville Volunteer Fire Department quickly controlled the fire and ensured no further fire extension or damage to surrounding units.

The Toms River Bureau of Fire Prevention said the mobile home was not occupied at the time of the fire.

Officials believe the fire was accidental in nature and the blaze remains under investigation to determine its origin and cause. Initial assessments indicate that the fire was contained within a utility area within the mobile home.

No injures to any fire department personnel or civilians were reported. Officials said one dog was found inside the mobile home and firefighters were about to remove it. The dog was taken to a local emergency veterinary hospital for further treatment, but the dog’s condition is unknown.
