TOMS RIVER – A man was working on his truck when it rolled off the ramps onto him, police said.
Juan Grandados-Chavez, 40 of Toms River was working on his Chevy Silverado in his Genoa Avenue driveway at around 6 p.m. on Jan. 23, police said. It rolled off the ramps and pinned him there.
He was unconscious and not breathing when he was found by his wife. His son, Pablo, used a floor jack to lift the side of the truck up and pull him out.
Toms River police, EMS, and Mon-Oc paramedics responed to the scene.
Grandados-Chavez was flown by helicopter to Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune where he is listed in critical condition.
