Man Charged In Goose Killing

TOMS RIVER – A Brick man has been charged in the deaths of five geese Thursday.

Quintin Alec-Manning, 20, was charged with five counts of third-degree animal cruelty. He was taken into custody and transported to Toms River Municipal Jail without incident Thursday.

The New Jersey Division of Fish and Wildlife Bureau of Law Enforcement will also be issuing summons.

Alec-Manning was identified after Toms River Police interviewed multiple business owners around Indian Head Plaza who witnessed a person deliberately run over a family of geese May 29.

The investigation was conducted by Toms River Police Humane Law Enforcement Officers, the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office, and NJ DEP Fish and Wildlife Conservation Police.
