TOMS RIVER – Back in April, a local Girl Scout Troop donated boxes of Girl Scout cookies to JBJ Soul Kitchen.

Troop 50015–a Brownies troop comprising 8- and 9-year-old girls from around the area–had help from Gateway Toyota. In addition to numerous booth sale events, Gateway Toyota donated one box of cookies for every one sold at its location

The troop delivered 150 boxes to JBJ Soul Kitchen.

The girls will be visiting the kitchen’s farm in Colts Neck in June to volunteer.

JBJ Soul Kitchen is a nonprofit community restaurant, with locations in Red Bank and Toms River, run by the Jon Bon Jovi Soul Foundation, that serves paying and in-need customers. It’s a “place where individuals or families can come to eat a delicious farm-to-table meal in a warm, welcoming setting and meet our neighbors,” according to its website.
