TRENTON – Here’s some more inspiration to make you want to buy a lottery ticket: One local winner will be awarded $357,692.

There were two winning tickets for the Jersey Cash 5 jackpot from the Thursday, August 29 drawing, according to the New Jersey Lottery Commission. These two winners matched all five numbers: 11, 12, 16, 18 and 31 and the XTRA number was: 04.

Each ticket is worth $357,692. One was sold at the ShopRite on Route 37 in Toms River. The other was sold at the Wawa at 960 Route 33 in Monroe. These two retailers will receive a bonus check for $2,000 for selling the tickets.

Acting Executive Director James Carey announced that there were 674,290 tickets purchased for the drawing, with 14,596 ticket-holders winning $215,266 in prizes ranging from $2 to $1,748. By adding XTRA, for an additional $1 per play, winners are able to multiply their non-jackpot prizes by the XTRA number drawn.
