TOMS RIVER – Motorists are being asked to avoid Hooper Avenue near the Motor Vehicle Commission Friday.
Toms River Police said they along with fire units are investigating a reported gas leak at 1861 Hooper Avenue.
“The building has been evacuated as a precautionary measure. Please avoid the area. DMV is temporarily closed until further notice,” police said via social media.
