TOMS RIVER – November is National Alzheimer’s Disease Awareness Month and National Family Caregivers Month, a time to honor the extraordinary individuals who care for loved ones living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia. CenExel Toms River is proud to recognize these caregivers—who often navigate the emotional and physical toll of memory loss—with a special event designed just for them.
On November 12, CenExel Toms River will host a Caregiver Social at its facility, offering Alzheimer’s caregivers a chance to relax, connect, and be celebrated. The event will feature light refreshments, local dementia care resources, and opportunities to share stories with others who understand the unique challenges of caring for someone with Alzheimer’s disease.
“Caregivers are the unsung heroes in the fight against Alzheimer’s,” said Dr. Arun Singh, D.O., Lead Investigator at CenExel Toms River. “They give so much of themselves—physically, emotionally, and spiritually—to support their loved ones. This event is our way of saying thank you and reminding them that they are not alone.”
This November, the Alzheimer’s Association encourages communities to recognize the 11 million Americans who provide unpaid care for people living with Alzheimer’s. CenExel Toms River joins this national movement by creating a space where caregivers can feel seen, supported, and appreciated.
The Caregiver Social is open to all family caregivers in the community who support someone with Alzheimer’s or dementia—whether a parent, spouse, sibling, or friend. CenExel Toms River welcomes you to this celebration of compassion, resilience, and shared understanding.
