TOMS RIVER – Police are still investigating reports of a body floating in the water this morning.
At around 11:30 a.m., police officers were dispatched to the south side of the Mathis Bridge for reports of a body floating in the water. The woman was found to be dead upon police arrival.
The incident is being investigated by the Ocean County Sheriff Department CSI Unit, NJ State Police Marine Unit, and OC Medical Examiner.
