TOMS RIVER – The students at the Goddard School on Route 70 took the time to learn the benefits of trees and why they are important to our community.
Kate Spontak, a nature enthusiast and long-time Shade Tree Committee member, captivated the students. She arrived and greeted the children in her tree costume and read aloud as she shared her many tree samples from trees native to our area.
A wonderful day was had by all.
