TOMS RIVER – A motor vehicle crash in the township has caused a telephone pole and electrical wires to catch fire on Monday evening, according to authorities.
The Ocean County Sheriff’s Department reported that there are not only power outages to residents and businesses but also several traffic signals in the area of Route 37 at Lakehurst Road.
Authorities urge everyone in the area to find an alternate route.
Police, fire and utility crews are on the scene.
