TOMS RIVER – A serious accident involving a snapped utility pole has closed a busy stretch of Route 9 in the township.
According to the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department, the Tuesday evening closure is in both directions of 9 from Cox Crow Road to Riverwood Drive.
Police urge everyone to find an alternate route and there is no word on when the road will be opened again.
Utility crews and police are on the scene. No word on any injuries.
