TOMS RIVER – I hope whoever bought this ticket is sitting down when they hear this…

A winning ticket for $1,000 a week for life was bought right here on the edge of Toms River and Berkeley townships. It was sold at the News Hut, 1071 Route 37 and Bananier Drive. Ironically, this is in the same shopping center as Favorites, the sports betting location.

The drawing was on Monday, July 22, according to a press release from the New Jersey Lottery.

There were other winners that day, too. Three people won $2,500 by matching four out of five white balls and the Cash Ball drawn. Additionally, 13,371 other players won $67,575 in cash prizes ranging from $2 to $500 with 2,341 of those tickets doubling their prize with Doubler. The winning numbers were: 05, 21, 28, 56 and 58. The Cash Ball was: 03.

The Doubler costs an extra dollar and doubles any prize from $2,500 to $5,000. Alas, it does not double the Cash For Life winnings.

“Congratulations to all of the players who won CASH4LIFE prizes and to those who doubled their fun with the new DOUBLER add-on,” said James Carey, New Jersey Lottery acting executive director. “We are excited to offer New Jersey players the opportunity to win more cash with each DOUBLER add-on feature win.”
