LACEY – A woman was arrested and charged with assault and resisting arrest after an incident at a residence on Barnacle Road.
On May 26, around 11 p.m., Lacey officers responded to a residence at 457 Barnacle Road for a report of a dispute. Once on the scene, officers discovered 23-year old Ashley Mazzola after she was removed from the house for throwing things. Mazzola reportedly broke a window in order to get back inside, cutting her arm in the process.
Mazzola proceeded to kick an officer and was then taken into custody where she kicked and damaged the inside of the patrol car.
Mazzola was charged with Aggravated Assault, Resisting Arrest, Obstruction of Justice, and Criminal Mischief. She has been released in accordance with bail reform.
