Waretown’s Looking For Singers

WARETOWN – At most municipal gatherings, there is a local person singing the National Anthem. At an upcoming event, Ocean Township is making it a contest to see who will do the singing.

The winner will sing the National Anthem live on stage during the opening ceremony of the 2017 National Night Out. This will take place at 6 p.m. on Aug. 1, in the municipal lot located at 50 Railroad Ave.

There is no age range, but singers younger than 18 need to have permission from their parents.

All auditions must be submitted via Facebook Messenger to the Ocean Township Police Department’s page. They will be posted online. The candidate with the most “Likes” will win.

The last day for submissions is July 24.
