Traffic Stop Leads To Drug-Related Charges

WARETOWN – Two men were arrested after a traffic stop on numerous drug-related charges.

On June 28, Ocean Township Police pulled over a vehicle on Michigan Avenue.

Andrew Lupton, 34, of Forked River was under the influence and in possession of a controlled dangerous substance, according to police. With him was passenger Leif Ohlsson, 38, of Waretown. Both men were arrested and charged with DUI and possession of CDS.

Both were processed at Ocean Township Police headquarters and then transported to Ocean County Jail. Lupton was issued numerous motor vehicle summons, including DWI and reckless driving. In addition, he was charged with possession of CDS and possession of paraphernalia. His vehicle was impounded.

Ohlsson was charged with possession of CDS and possession of drug paraphernalia.
