BARNEGAT – Three juveniles were charged after they were caught burglarizing cars in the area over the weekend, according to police.
In the early morning hours of Nov. 23, police responded to the area of Cannonball Dr. after a resident called to report seeing several juveniles pulling on car door handles. Once on the scene, Barnegat Officers observed three juveniles, two 17-year old males and one 14-year old male.
One of the older juveniles and the 14-year old made an attempt to flee on foot but were soon apprehended by police. The other 17-year old was placed under arrest at the scene.
Police recovered stolen property from the boys that was taken from area vehicles including cash, iPads, sunglasses, and phone chargers.
The juveniles were charged with burglary.
