Serious Crash Closes Major Road On Long Beach Island

SHIP BOTTOM – A motor vehicle crash shut down Long Beach Boulevard for several hours Wednesday night. One person was injured in the crash.

According to Long Beach Township Police, the road between 24th and 25th streets in the borough has been reopened to traffic.

Several local departments responded to the scene of the crash including the Ship Bottom Police Department, Ship Bottom Volunteer Fire Company, Surf City Volunteer Fire Company, Beach Haven First Aid Squad, Stafford Township Volunteer Fire Company and High Point Volunteer Fire Company.

A Facebook post from the Ship Bottom Volunteer Fire Company reported that one person was entrapped in the vehicle and airlifted to a local trauma center.
