Positive COVID Case Closes Manahawkin MVC

  MANAHAWKIN – The New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission announced that they’ve closed its Manahawkin location on April 12 after an employee tested positive for COVID-19.

  Reports state that the employee was last in the agency on Friday. MVC said the site will reopen on April 24 once staff complete their quarantine and the site receives a full COVID-19 cleaning.

  Other MVC sites such as the Hazlet site and the Newark Regional/Licensing Center also closed after an employee tested positive for COVID-19 at each location. These sites are set to reopen on April 22 and April 27.

  As for the Lakewood Vehicle Center, they extended its closure to April 16 after another employee tested positive.
