STAFFORD – Police said a Stafford Township woman was driving south on the Garden State Parkway Sunday night when she was involved in a one-car crash and died from her injuries.
Police reported to online sources that the driver was Grace Conover, 20, of Manahawkin. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident happened at around 9:30 p.m. on the night of January 24, police said, near mile marker 60.8 in Eagleswood. The car, a Chevrolet Cobalt, left the right side of the roadway, slid down an embankment, and struck trees.
The crash remains under investigation. It closed the southbound right lane for about three hours.
