STAFFORD — Police took a 54-year-old Eagleswood man into custody after discovering he was wanted on multiple warrants and in possession of a controlled substance, authorities said.
Stafford Township’s Drug Enforcement Unit encountered Andrew J. Albanese at the Cedar Run Apartments on Route 9 around 6:30 p.m. December 4. Officers learned he had three active warrants and took him into custody, police said.
A search during the arrest turned up suspected Suboxone. Albanese was charged with possession of a Schedule III controlled dangerous substance without a prescription, a third-degree offense under state law.
He was processed at police headquarters and taken to the Ocean County Jail to await court proceedings, according to the department.
