STAFFORD – A 51-year-old man has been arrested and charged for attempting to flee police during a motor vehicle stop, police said.
Around 11 p.m. February 22, a Stafford Township Patrol Officer pulled over a car on Route 9 South in the area of McKinley Avenue. As the officer approached the car, a 2016 Black Toyota Tacoma, the driver fled heading South on Route 9.
Authorities later identified the driver as Joseph Celauro, 51, of Eagleswood. Four days later, Celauro was arrested and charged with Eluding a Law Enforcement Officer. Celauro was processed and released on a summons pending a future appearance.
All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
