LONG BEACH ISLAND – With Memorial Day right around the corner, locals are gearing up for the start of the summer season and, with that, summer traffic.
According to Long Beach Township Police, all traffic signals on Long Beach Island are now operational. For those of you that have gotten used to the blinking yellow lights, be prepared to stop!
“As a reminder: Pedestrians must cross at crosswalks and/or intersections. Pedestrians must follow all walk/don’t walk signals and wait for green lights before crossing. All bicyclists must keep right and follow all traffic laws including but not limited to stop signs, traffic lights and yield signs,” stated an alert from police.
Police urge everyone to drive carefully.
