LACEY – Police arrested and charged five individuals after a month-long investigation found quantities of crystal meth and various drug paraphernalia in a Lacey Township apartment, police said.
On April 12, law enforcement officials executed a search warrant at the Cornerstone at Lacey apartment complex where they discovered large quantities of crystal methamphetamine, prescription medications including Oxycodone and Clonazepam, “numerous hypodermic syringes, glass smoking pipes and straws containing residue, and drug paraphernalia consistent with the packaging and distribution of narcotics, including digital scales, cutting agents, baggies, and ledgers,” according to Lacey Police.
At the apartment, located at 900 Gary Smith Way in Forked River, police also located the targets of the investigation: Anthony Caruso, 36, and Kelly Trangone, 39, both of Forked River, Robert Charlie, 37, of Bayville, Davina Deusinger, 46, of Browns Mills, and Jamin Alegre, 39, of Waretown.
All five individuals were charged with Possession of Crystal Methamphetamine.
Caruso was charged with an additional count of Possession of Crystal Methamphetamine, Possession with the Intent to Distribute less than one half ounce of Crystal Methamphetamine, two counts of Distribution of less than one half ounce of Crystal Methamphetamine, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Trangone was also charged with Conspiracy to Possess with the Intent to Distribute less than one half ounce of Crystal Methamphetamine, and Possession with the Intent to Distribute less than one half ounce of Crystal Methamphetamine.
Davina Deusinger was also charged with Possession with the Intent to Distribute less than one half ounce of Crystal Methamphetamine, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Caruso, Trangone, Deusinger, and Alegre were released on complaint summonses pending future court appearances. Charlie was lodged in the Ocean County Correctional Facility.
Law enforcement agencies involved in the investigation include Lacey Township Police Department Detective Bureau, Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Strike Force, Ocean County Regional SWAT Team, and Stafford Township Police Department K-9 Unit.
