STAFFORD – Township Emergency Medical Service responders were on the scene of a crash on the Garden State Parkway that occurred around 5:34 p.m. on May 14.
Upon investigation it was determined that a vehicle had veered off the roadway into an embankment causing it’s occupant to be trapped.
Emergency crews in ambulances were dispatched to attend the accident victims’ injuries. With assistance from the Stafford Fire Company, the patient who was trapped was successfully extricated from the vehicle and evaluated by emergency personnel.
The victim had to be transported to a trauma center for further evaluation. Hackensack Meridian Health-Paramedics arrived on location shortly afterward and assisted with patient treatment.
LifeFlight Network-MEDEVAC transported the victim to a nearby trauma center due to their injuries. Tuckerton Fire/EMS Station 50. Members of which provided in town coverage while Stafford crews were at the accident scene.
