ASBURY PARK – A Barnegat man died after being hit by a train in Asbury Park Sunday night, NJ Transit said.
Around 9:55 p.m., the man who was identified as James Kessock, 34, of Barnegat, was found along the track lines near First Avenue, NJ Transit spokesman Jim Smith said.
At this time, New Jersey Transit police are investigating what train was involved in the incident.
The North Jersey Coast Line rail service was temporarily suspended between Long Branch and Bay Head and since has resumed.
