LAKEWOOD — A Monroe Township woman has been charged following a Lakewood Police Department investigation into a reported theft involving a third-party courier delivery.

Jordain Carson, 31, is charged with third-degree theft in connection with merchandise that was reported missing after a same-day delivery from a Lakewood business, police said.

According to authorities, an employee of the business contacted police on November 17, 2025, after learning that items sent out for delivery were never received by the intended recipient. The business routinely uses a third-party courier service, and a pickup had been scheduled for September 30, 2025.

Investigators said delivery records later showed the package had been marked as delivered to the wrong location. Attempts by the business to reach both the courier and the delivery service were unsuccessful.

The initial report was taken by Officer Johnson, and the investigation was later assigned to Detective Stefanelli. Police said the detective reviewed delivery records, documentation and surveillance images connected to the pickup before identifying the courier involved.

The case remains pending in court.
