JERSEY SHORE – A free webinar will explore how the trauma of the pandemic might lead to substance abuse in children.

The Partnership for a Drug-Free New Jersey and The Horizon Foundation for New Jersey worked together to present this webinar at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 14. It will feature licensed clinical social worker Stephanie Iannelli of LIVE Well Counseling in Toms River.

“The COVID-19 pandemic has changed life drastically for all Americans and presented them with numerous challenges to their mental wellbeing,” PDFNJ Executive Director Angelo Valente said. “Children are particularly vulnerable to the mental and emotional impact of recent developments, and it is important to discuss how we can best protect our children while examining the link between emotional trauma and substance use.”

Participants can register for the free webinar at us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN__83DKWU8Sg2iY4gi7iDZfQ.
