Traffic Enforcement Announced For Route 35 And Route 37

  OCEAN COUNTY – On Saturday evening, there will be additional enforcement between the hours of 5 p.m. and 11 p.m. on Routes 35 and 37, police said.

  Extra patrols of officers will be looking for signs of drunk or erratic driving on Route 35 between Seaside Park and Point Pleasant Beach, and on Route 37 between Seaside Heights and Manchester.

  Drivers who witness someone who may be driving erratically should dial #77 from a hands-free phone to make a report, police said. Please be prepared to give a description of the vehicle and occupants, a location and direction, and a license plate if possible.

  There are a number of police coordinating this effort, including: the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office, New Jersey State Police, the New Jersey Department of Transportation, and police departments from Seaside Heights, Seaside Park, Berkeley Township, Toms River, Lavallette, Brick Township, Mantoloking, Bay Head, Point Pleasant Beach, Manchester Township, and Lakehurst.
