Toms River Woman Pleads Guilty To Stabbing Ex-Boyfriend

TOMS RIVER – A township woman has admitted to stabbing her ex-boyfriend to death nearly three years ago, officials said.

Samantha Massimino, 36, of Toms River, pled guilty to Manslaughter in connection with the death of Reinaldo Feliciano, Jr., 35, also of Toms River, in the early morning hours of October 24, 2020.

At the time of her sentencing on July 7, the State will be seeking a term of seven years New Jersey State Prison – subject to the terms of the No Early Release Act which means she must serve 85% of her sentence before being eligible for parole.

Around 4 a.m., authorities responded to a home after receiving a 911 call requesting aid due to a victim being stabbed in the leg.

The investigation determined that Massimino and Feliciano, who had previously been in a relationship, became involved in a physical altercation at the home.

The argument then escalated when Massimino retrieved a knife and stabbed Feliciano in the leg.
Feliciano was transported to Community Medical Center where he died from his injuries, officials said.
Massimino was taken into custody at the scene and brought to the Ocean County Jail where she has been lodged since her arrest.

Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer acknowledged the efforts of Senior Assistant Prosecutor Jamie Schron who is handling the case on behalf of the State, and commended the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crime Unit, Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Victim Witness Advocacy Unit, Toms River Township Police Department, Toms River Township Police Detective Bureau, and Ocean County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Investigation Unit, for their efforts in connection with this investigation leading to Massimino’s guilty plea, and soon her state prison sentence.
