OCEAN COUNTY – Three lottery tickets purchased in Ocean County won five-figure prizes in the February 23 Mega Millions drawing, according to the New Jersey Lottery Commission.
Two of the tickets were bought in Stafford and won $30,000 each. They were purchased at Bay Avenue Farm, 93 East Bay Ave., and Corner Store, 1636 Route 72 W., both in Manahawkin.
A $10,000 ticket was bought at the Krauszers located at 660 Maple Ave. in Brick.
Still somewhat local, another $10,000 ticket was bought at Kwik Shop, 38 New Brunswick Ave., in Matawan.
These are considered the third-tier prize, matching four out of five white balls and the Gold Mega Ball. However, if the buyer purchased the Megaplier option, they got $30,000 instead of $10,000.
The winning numbers for the Tuesday, February 23, drawing were: 05, 07, 09, 20, and 57.
The Gold Mega Ball was 15, and the Megaplier Multiplier was 03.
The next drawing will be held Friday, February 26 at 11 p.m. Tickets must be purchased before 10:45 p.m. in order to participate.
