Prosecutor: Lakewood Man Alerted Drug Dealer To Raid

LAKEWOOD – A Lakewood Township custodian has been charged with official misconduct related to a narcotics raid.

Jorge L. Lopez shared information he observed at a township building prior to officers executing a narcotics related search warrant on March 16. He alerted his drug supplier, who was a target in the raid.

Lakewood Det. Sgt. Leroy Marshall reported Lopez to the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Ofice Internal Affairs Unit, who was working with the OCPO High Tech Unit and Lakewood Police.

Lopez was processed and will be in court at a future date.
