Police Said Hotel Room Used For Drug Operation

  SEASIDE HEIGHTS – Three people were charged for dealing drugs out of a borough hotel room, police said.

  The arrests came after a two-month investigation, according to Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer. On March 3, officers from multiple departments executed a search warrant at a hotel room, finding approximately 45 grams of crack, 20 folds of heroin, marijuana and 1,600 in cash.

  The following people were arrested as they were attempting to leave the hotel:

  • Quran Thomas, 40, of Manalapan, was charged with Possession of Cocaine in a Quantity Greater than One-Half Ounce but Less than Five Ounces with Intent to Distribute; Possession of Cocaine; Possession of Heroin; and Possession of Marijuana.
  • Bryan Burgos, 34, of Lakewood, was charged with Possession of Cocaine in a Quantity Greater than One-Half Ounce but Less than Five Ounces with Intent to Distribute; Possession of Cocaine; Possession of Heroin; and Possession of Marijuana. Burgos is currently lodged in the Ocean County Jail on unrelated pending matters.
  • Akira Randle, 22, of Seaside Heights, was charged with Possession of Cocaine in a Quantity Greater than One-Half Ounce but Less than Five Ounces with Intent to Distribute; Possession of Cocaine; Possession of Heroin; and Possession of Marijuana.

  These suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty.

  Prosecutor Billhimer thanked the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Strike Force, Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Asset Forfeiture Unit, Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office High Tech Crime Unit, Seaside Heights Police Department Detective Bureau and Patrol Division, and Ocean County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit for their combined assistance in this investigation which led to these arrests.
