LAKEWOOD – A pedestrian walking down Route 9 at night was struck and killed by a driver.
Francisca Lebron, 65, of Lakewood was struck at around 9:30 p.m. on November 22, police said. She was walking south down the center lane of Madison Avenue (Route 9) between 4th and 5th streets.
Lebron was brought to Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus by Hatzolah where she succumbed to her injuries shortly thereafter, police said. No summonses were issued to the driver. At this time as this is an ongoing investigation.
